As people interested in returning to Classical forms of education, we know that Grimm, Perrault, or even Hans Christian Andersen are all part of the Western literary canon. But what are these strange stories, these “fairy tales” that often contain no fairies? As Christians, we can sometimes be put off by them.
In his plenary talk at our annual conference this past June, Jonathan Pageau explores how Fairy Tales use language similar to Scripture and how they can capture truths almost as deep.
